Brighton & Hove Community Cooperative

Our Community

We are members of the community who are taking responsibility for our lives and the lives of our families. We are striving to live in a way that ensures our basic needs are met and are built upon a foundation of autonomy and respect.

Brighton and Hove Community Co-operative (BHCC) has been formed by a group of local people from a range of backgrounds working in different areas including care, food catering, the arts, social work, finance, education and music. We felt it was crucial to develop a community hub that supports its members and one way we can do this is by signposting them to our sub groups: Home Education, Land and Food, Common Law Advice and Health and Well-being.

Education

Another important aspect of the BHCC is to promote educational and social events on behalf of our spiritual and social growth. We aim to hold both local and nationwide events.

Exciting Times!

BHCC members recognise the electrifying times we are in, and we see limitless possibilities to redevelop our communities according to a greater consensual and ethical ethos. We welcome new members to join in the discussion and contribute ideas that will help us to grow and in turn help communities to flourish.
