Health & Well-Being

The Brighton Health, Wellbeing and Support Hub is made up of practitioners from within orthodox medicine as well as more natural and alternative approaches. It is a forum for general discussion about health, which aims to support members with health, emotional wellbeing and mental health issues. As such we aim to become increasingly informed and responsible about our own health and wellbeing. A common understanding is that we are moving towards being more responsible for our own health and less dependant on traditional structures and systems. To achieve this we are working on a list of useful medicines and protocols.

Within recent times, we appear to be witnessing increases in suicide and poor self-care amongst our population, including worsening eating and sleeping habits. There are also indications that point to an increase in addiction to harmful substances including alcohol, prescription drugs and class A substances.

The solution to this is to try to support people who are suffering as a consequence of the current circumstances within which individuals live; protecting all of their inalienable rights, whilst avoiding criminalising healthy people for exercising their human rights and freedoms safely and appropriately. We aim to form a supportive network of members and practitioners.
