Grid Down?

Evacuating from an urban environment?

Be prepared! Learn and practice survival techniques for the bush, including foraging.

Our course ‘Intro Bushcraft, Survival and Foraging’ will teach you how to survive the all-important first 72 hours. Learn how to make a fire for all weathers, a quick emergency shelter, 2 useful knots and the essentials for a bug-out bag.

In ‘Regular Bushcraft, Survival and Foraging’, our ongoing sessions, we’ll start with the drill of putting up a shelter and making a fire in under 20 minutes. Then we’ll focus on specific activities including making fire with a bow drill, using cutting tools, making natural cordage, water purification, making a shelter with a fire inside, constructing cooking rigs, camp hygiene, and navigation.

Foraging

In ‘Foraging for Food and Medicine’ we look at the nutritional/medicinal properties and uses of different foraged plants. There is a dish from foraged food to sample, freshly made herbal tea to drink and a sample remedy to make and take home.
